A few days later you get your fresh Wrapped boat back. We have several marinas in which we now feel "at home", all owned crane systems for slippen and corresponding hall for the wrap of the boats.
We just wrapped a 33 foot yacht for a customer. The existing gel code or the lacquer was faded, spotty and scratched after only 8 years. The customer opted for a 3M film Chocal Metallic, the clear height on the lower strip was 75 cm. There was also a 40 cm wide strip on the upper deck. In addition, the stern, which was not yet painted, should be covered with foil. On the device carrier there are also two radar hoods, which should also be wrapped. On the device carrier there was some aluminum corrosion, which we ground off, fillered and then also with the 3M foil covered.
The most difficult problem with the ship was that a previous owner generously covered all edges, whether at the butt edge, windows, inlets or on the equipment carrier with simple silicone. This completely turned the schedule upside down, because it could not be seen everywhere during the first visit. Foil does not hold on silicone! This meant for us to free all edges of silicone and then to reseal them with Sikaflex. In the water sector, the film was additionally coated with edge protection lacquer of 3M.
